Hope this latest email finds you all well. It is hard to believe it is April and our reunion will be upon us before we know it. A few of us met at Speakeasy and Martinelli's in Salina to finalize the reunion. Here are the latest plans:
The dates are still set for Friday, June 10 through Sunday, June 12, 2011. Just a reminder that this is the same weekend as Central's reunion and as the Smoky Hill River Festival, so the town will be busier than usual.
Friday night is a casual meeting at Speakeasy. It is the former JC's in the Dillon's Southgate parking lot. This is a casual event with each person responsible for any food or drink they wish to consume. Plan to meet around 6. Hopefully, the weather will cooperate and we can meet in the patio.
Saturday night is our more organized get together. We have the back room reserved at Martinelli's in downtown Salina (158 S. Santa Fe) starting at 7pm until midnight if we wish. Dinner will be served at 7:30. There will be a buffet style with salads, breads, two types of pasta, and a dessert. The cost per person is $15.00. We do have a bartender reserved for our room, but purchasing drinks will be on your own (unless someone graciously wishes to donate a keg). In order for us to be sure that there is adequate food for everyone, I need to have payments sent to me via Paypal (using
salinasouth1991@gmail.com as the payee) or you can send me a check: Casey Ewy, 801 Spani Drive, Saint George, KS 66535. I need to have payments in my June 1. Thanks in advance.
Things are still up in the air about other events. I have provided (hopefully) a link to a survey that I would like everyone to fill out. It will help to plan the remainder of things to do. Even if you are not planning on coming, please fill it out so we can publish some information about you to keep current.
During Saturday night's event, Krista (Hannebaum) Hart has graciously agreed to make a slide show using pictures from high school and present day. It is our hope that every person will submit at least one picture (could be anything) of high school and one present day (family, self, etc.) for us to show. That needs to be done as soon as possible, so she is not working on it the night before we meet. Her email is:

On a side note, Gretchen (Usher) Wolfe and Matt Wolfe have organized a 5K run called Strides for a Find. This is a 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk in memory of their son, Bode James Wolfe. They are raising money for SIDS research.All proceeds from their fundraising event benefits Dr. Hannah Kinney of Boston Children's Hospital, a leading SIDS researcher. The race will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011, in Paola, KS. There are several of us attending and they would welcome as many classmates that could come/race/donate, etc. Their website is:

In summary, please plan to attend the reunion. Many prior classes have told me not to expect more than 40 people and I find that hard to believe. I hope to see many of you there to share in some laughs and fun times.
